Terms of Service

Draft — last updated 10/9/2026. This has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel and should not be relied on as a final compliance document.

1. What this platform is

The Integrative Oncology Care Network connects patients with independent integrative-care practitioners (nutritionists, physical therapists, acupuncturists, counselors, and similar). We are a marketplace and scheduling platform — we are not a healthcare provider, and nothing on this platform is medical advice. Practitioners are independent professionals, not our employees.

2. Not a substitute for your medical team

Nothing on this platform replaces the advice of your oncologist or treatment team. Always talk to your treating physician before starting a new complementary therapy, especially during active cancer treatment.

3. Practitioner verification

We check practitioner-submitted license information against the public NPPES registry and require admin sign-off before a practitioner is bookable. This is a supporting check, not a guarantee — you should independently verify a practitioner's credentials before your first visit if that matters to you.

4. Payments

Paid sessions will be processed through Stripe; payments are not switched on yet. The platform takes no fee and no percentage of any session: the amount you're charged is the practitioner's own price, shown before you confirm a booking. We may charge practitioners a flat monthly subscription in future, announced in advance and never tied to the number or value of their sessions. Insurance copay amounts shown are estimates self-reported by the practitioner, not a live insurance eligibility check, unless stated otherwise.

5. Patients a practitioner brings

When a practitioner invites patients they already treat, those patients remain the practitioner's. We will never contact them for marketing, never show or suggest other practitioners to them (they can still search on their own), and never charge the practitioner anything based on them: practitioner pricing is a flat subscription, never tied to which patients, or how many, they see. A practitioner who leaves can take their patient relationships with them; patients keep the right to export their own data.

6. Cancellations

You can cancel an upcoming appointment from your appointments page. Practitioners set their own cancellation policies, which will be communicated separately as this feature matures.

7. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, provides false credential information, or is used for fraudulent payment activity. You may close your account at any time — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data after closure.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page.
